#LifeUpNorth

Here’s some live-tweeting about life up north on Torch Lake, Michigan, as the summer comes to an end. My parents purchased a rather rustic and ugly cabin on a gorgeous piece of property in my sophomore year of high school. My siblings and I spent spring break that year bathing the turquoise and yellow walls in Benjamin Moore. The long drive north from Grand Rapids disrupted our routines and social lives, so I suppose we must forgive ourselves for failing to see just what the place would come to mean.
